This policy explains what information greenenergycalc.com (“we”, “us”) collects, how it is used, and the choices you have.
Calculator inputs
All calculator math runs in your browser. We do not receive, store or sell the numbers you type (bills, ZIP codes, system sizes). Some calculators remember your last inputs in your own browser’s session storage; clearing your browser data removes them.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages and calculators are useful (pages viewed, device type, approximate region, referring site). IP addresses are not stored in Analytics. You can opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out add-on.
Advertising
The site is funded by display ads served by Google AdSense. Google and its partners use cookies and similar technologies to serve and measure ads, which may be personalized based on your visits to this and other websites. You can:
- Manage ad personalization at Google My Ad Center
- Learn how Google uses information from sites that use its services at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites
- Opt out of interest-based ads from participating companies at optout.aboutads.info
Affiliate links
Some links (marked †) are affiliate links. If you buy through them, the retailer may set a cookie to credit us with a commission. See our affiliate disclosure.
Your US state privacy rights
Residents of California and other states with consumer privacy laws (including Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Texas and others) may have rights to know, access, delete and correct personal information, and to opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information for targeted advertising. We do not sell personal information for money. Ad cookies may be considered “sharing” under some state laws; you can opt out using the choices above, by enabling the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal in your browser, or by emailing us. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
Children
This site is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
If you email us, we keep your message and address only to reply and to track corrections.
